Recipe: Parmesan Panko Breading
This breading is easy to make and gives a nice crispy texture to whatever you use it with. It’s light, flavourful, and easy to customize. Whether you want to keep it simple or add your own twist, you’ll always be left with a delicious, golden crust.

Ingredients
- Rosemary – 2.5 tsp
- Panko (or Rice Cereal**) – 0.5 cups
- Grated Parmesan Cheese – 0.5 cups
- Garlic Powder – 0.5 tsp
- Kosher Salt – 0.5 tsp
- Black Pepper – 0.33 (1/3) tsp
Instructions
- Pull the leaves off the rosemary stem and finely chop.
- Combine all the ingredients.
**If you’re using rice cereal, use a food processor to grind the cereal into finer pieces.
Notes
** Panko is traditional but if you would like the breading to be gluten-free use the rice cereal.
- Adding the rosemary is optional. You can customize the breading with herbs/seasonings of your choice or keep it plain.
- Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
