KP Chronicles: Honey Garlic Salmon

The inspo for this meal was finding a simple way to make salmon more appealing to my kids, it just happened to be a big hit with adults as well!

The real magic of this dish is found in the “holy trio” of butter, garlic, and honey. That combo creates this irresistible, mouthwatering aroma that even the pickiest eaters can’t resist. Yuuuuummm. Broiling salmon results in perfectly tender and flaky fish. So don’t be scared to use your broiler – stay close by watching the salmon as it cooks. A tip for this dish is to take the salmon out periodically and baste it by spooning the honey garlic butter on top.

Our local seafood supplier, Foremost Seafood, is here in Dayton and sources some of the most delightful salmon!

To round out the meal, we paired it with coconut-scented rice. A little coconut oil while cooking the rice and a touch of salt to brings out the flavor. And for a crisp contrast, we toss sugar snap peas in toasted sesame oil and serve them cold alongside the warm, rich salmon.
