The Asian Pork Noodle Bowl is one of our easiest meals to put together, which is perfect for those nights when you want something that feels like you made dinner…without spending the entire evening making dinner.
It’s 25 minutes from start to finish, and most of that time is spent waiting for the noodles to boil. Everything else comes together in no time, and the best part is that you can make it completely your own.
Want to throw all the veggies in the pan with the pork? Go for it! Want to cook everything separately and build a different bowl for everyone? Totally doable. There really is no wrong way to put this meal together.
We’ve already taken care of the pork; it comes cooked and seasoned, and we make the sauce in the shop for you, so all you have to do is heat it up and let the good stuff happen. While the noodles boil, cooking the mushrooms and cabbage takes less than ten minutes. Then it’s basically toss, mix, and pile everything into a bowl.
To garnish, some green onions on top, a little chili crisp–and there you have it!
Now, if you’re not a fan of spice, you can leave the chili crisp off completely. But if you like just a little heat, that tiny bit of spice at the end really elevates the flavor of the whole bowl.
Then, it’s my favorite part of this meal: the fortune cookie.
It’s fun to finish up dinner with a little insight or wisdom for the rest of your week but we also get to have some fun with it here at the shop.
When we know the meal is coming up, we taste-test the cookies just to make sure they’re at their freshest. It’s a great time because we recruit whoever is here, and we all take a small break to grab a fortune cookie. While we snack, we share the fortunes we received with each other.
The messages can be uplifting or funny, but either way, it’s a fun thing we get to share together.
Hopefully, it’s the same in your home, too. Small moments of sharing fortunes around the table can break up the hecticness and routine of everyday life.
With this meal coming up, we had our taste-testing day, and I got pretty lucky this time around because I got two fortunes in one cookie.
I’ll leave you with the messages below. Maybe one of them will bring you a little inspiration this week.
Or maybe you could get some of your own by placing an order! 😉

Check out the meal on our August 17th menu!
